Early
Magazine Work
A
more accurate title for this section would be "Early Work
Preceding and Contiguous with the first years of Lamb's Writing for Adventure,"
but as that wouldn't fit on a navigation button and sounds
cumbersome, I didn't use it.
"Marching
Sands" and "Caravan of the Dead" were both printed in
hardback by Appleton (as Marching
Sands
and House
of the Falcon,
respectively). In general Lamb's early magazine work lacked the fire
and originality found in his Adventure stories, but there may
be some undiscovered gems among these.
